Kyrono nodded to Zeek and automatically headed towards from where the birds previously flew. Some sense in him made him feel positive that there was life towards that area. Keeping his nose low to the ground, he made small zig zag tracings, not in so much of a hurry to go anywhere though he was hungry. He smelt the scent of deer, typical forest dwelling creatures that are seen so commonly, it was their best bet for a good meal though he wondered if 2 was enough. Perhaps to take down a weak and small one will do.
Turning to Zeek: Wadya say we hunt a deer? Ill come in from the front, trying to seperate it from the rest of the herd whilst you come in from the back, cutting its runaway path and have the first attack. Or you'd rather vice versa.

"Hmm..." Zeek had followed Kyrono's lead and now stood beside the other wolf, "That will do I suppose...see you soon..." Zeek crept off into the brush as he circled around behind what he knew now to be deer and waited for Kyrono's move.

Kyrono nodded to Zeek and rounded his paws to make his approach more inaudible to the deers. He padded carefully around the herd to the other side, where he spotted Zeek waiting on the other side. Eying the herd he picked out the weakest, to their luck it was already separated from the herd as if its pressence is nothing more than mere company.
He padded around to get a better angle for their attack, catching Zeek's gaze, he nodded before springing out of the bushes, surprising the herd, they fled. The weaker deer trying to catch up to the herd for its safety, fell behind as Kyrono cut its path and rounded it towards Zeek.

Zeek hesitated for a moment, seeing the deer come toward him... He then realized what was happening and quickly began his own assault on the creature.
He cut it off as it was trying to escape for Kyrono and he leaped, his maw closing around the deer's throat as he muscled the creature to the ground. He held on to its throat as it tried to escape from him, his weight and grip on its throat preventing such escape. He could feel the deer's desperate attempt to breathe and he could taste a little of the blood dripping into his mouth from where his teeth had driven into the creatures throat.
He waited for Kyrono to come over to help detain the deer and for the deer itself to die.

Kyrono kept steering the deer towards Zeek, grinning on the inside when the deer was down, that was a meal guaranteed. He caught up to them and clawed the deer's side, getting grip on the half struggling being, pinning it down so that Zeek could get a better grip on the neck.
Once the struggling grew less, Kyrono gripped the deer's neck and helped twist it to an unnatural position for the deer and perked his ears at the snap. Catching the deer's gaze, he noticed the gray veil fog over the brightness of the deer's eyes. He released his grip and howled for a successful hunt before lieing down beside the deer. There was no alpha here and he was hungry, so he tore a piece from the deer's side, pinning it between his paws before he started eating. Looking up towards Zeek Good work buddeh

Once Kyrono came to help out, Zeek felt more reassured, this was a guaranteed meal. The other wolf had gripped the side of the deer with his claws, helping Zeek to pin the deer down and to stop its struggling movements.
At the crack, Zeek's own ears perked up and then laid back. He slowly let go of the deer's neck as the other wolf let out a victory howl. The deer's head plopped to the ground and Zeek licked his lips, swallowing a few times, savoring the blood in his mouth from the deer.
He stared into the deer's unseeing eyes for a few moments as Kyrono went ahead and dug into the deer's side. Zeek turned his muzzle towards the deer's flank and that was when he heard Kyrono's remark. He glanced toward the other other wolf and inclined his head slightly in recognition of the statement. He then turned back to the deer.
He licked the side of the deer a few times, tasting the skin and enjoying the soft feel of the short hair against his tongue. He then brought his teeth down on the side of deer, guillotining off a piece of meat for himself. He yanked his head to one side, tearing off the junk, before he walked a few feet away and laid down himself, mimicking the other wolves movements.
He put the meat between his fore-paws and tore small junks out of it as he scarfed down each one rapidly. He spared only a few bits for each junk, swallowing each one nearly whole.

Kyrono watched Zeek for a moment before continuing to eat his meal. Taking occasional short breaks, to let his gaze linger around their surroundings for any sign of hungry animals that might be close by, in their hope of picking a fight with the 2 wolves to claim the deer. His jaws opened and clenched automatically, his attention more towards the area instead.
Savouring the taste of the deer's warm flesh, and blood dripping from his maw. Leaving his white muzzle stained crimson, though this always seemed to make an animal look more vicious than it really was. His thoughts drifted towards what would happen now.. what else of these lands has he yet to explore. Would Zeek stay by him or would they part ways. He surprised himself on how many thoughts came from just sitting through a meal.

Zeek finished off the piece that he was working on and swallowed a few times, licking his lips, ridding himself of the last remnants of flavor, namely blood. It was hard to tell the he had eaten, namely due to his red fur. The blood was a little darker, but besides that it almost blended in.
He got to his feet, watching Kyrono as he trotted back up to the deer again. He laid down next to Kyrono, knowing that that would be a foolish move to do if the other was an unfriendly wolf. Messing with a wolf while they were eating wasn't a good thing to do...but he knew...or at least he thought he knew, that Kyrono wouldn't mind.
He licked the side of the deer where the chunks they had torn out of the deer were. He savored the taste of blood; it was such a lovely blend of sweet and metallic tastes...

Kyrono kept his gaze fixed on Zeek as he lied down beside him. Wondering why that spot, though he didn't mind. Being close enough meant that other predators or scavengers that might be near. He swallowed a mouthful and licked his maw before pawing the chunk of meat in thought So.. Zeek, do you plan to go anywhere? He wondered curiously. He wanted to know what other parts of the lands were there, though he knew the wolves here wernt all that friendly.

Kyrono looked at Zeek after he took another chunk. Gulping it down he looked around and sighed before speaking listen Zeek.. remember that conversation we had about packs??... well ive been thinking of joining the Hell Hounds.. and i know that coming close to a pack is hard for you, so i leave that desicion to you He waited to see Zeek's reaction though understood that he wouldnt be able to see Zeek for a while. He'd respect Zeek's choice.

Zeek sighed as he turned away from the carcass to look at Kyrono again. He stood and shook his head. I'm going to have to stay... I'm not ready for a pack... You can go if you feel you must...but I'm not going to go with you..."
Zeek turned away from Kyrono and stared off into the distance before looking back at Kyrono. "We are still friends...And...I'll try my best to be able to see you again...but...I'm not ready for a pack...so...I'll see you around..."
Without another word, Zeek ran off into the distance, leaving Kyrono with the carcass of the deer.

Kyrono nodded to Zeek, he'll be sure to see the wolf again one day, hopefully soon. He watched the male run off with a smile, hoping that he would be safe. He sighed looking towards the deer, what is he gonna do with it now?. There was still plenty of meat left but theres no way he could carry the carcass.
He tore 2 large chunks and took them in his jaws, and with that, he left the carcass for the scavengers. He turned to look towards the direction of the way Zeek left then sighed before turning, into a loping trot he left the area and towards the packlands..
